I know a lot of people aren’t fans of this stat but I find it quite useful and interesting.

    first leg XG

    BFC 1.39 v SCFC 1.17

    SCFC 0.72 v BFC 1.5

That pretty much reflects both legs for me, albeit I would have thought we may have been a bit higher in the first leg.

it was quality of finishing that was our downfall sadly. I’ve seen quite a few posts saying we didn’t turn up etc. I think Swansea stifled us but I don’t think it’s fair to say we didn’t turn up - we were the better side in both games…..save for (vitally) the finishing.

That said - we shouldn’t be surprised - Swansea are one of the (very few) anomalies in the XG league table.

If I'm reading this right, combining the two means we should have won the tie 3-2. Sadly Swansea got their expected 2 but we didn't notch our 3. Despite creating by far the most chances as predicted.

That’s exactly how I saw both games. We created more in 2 drab games.

I was A little miffed at the commentary claiming that the best team won and even fans on here.

They didn’t. 2 crap games of hoof ball from both teams. They just defended a little better at key points of the game.

    We played to their strengths.

They scored two good goals , second one preventable . But we didn’t lose to a better team,

I live in a white neighbourhood (not racial, just solid Leeds ). My neighbour opposite couldn't understand why we "didn't try to get it down with Alex Mowatt on the ball". Unfortunately we didn't do this enough in both legs, highlighted even more by the goal we did score - a sharp break by Jordan Williams, keeping the ball on the ground all the time. While always wanting The Reds to succeed, I'm not at all disappointed that we won't be in the Premier League next season, as, based on the refereeing over the two play-off games, I think we would end up short of players every match in the Premier League. We would be favourites for relegation: he commented that Swansea would certainly be relegated if they played as they did against us, (assuming they get there ). He's not a "Leeds Massive" fan....

I commended him on watching the game until the end as a "neutral" as, for me, Swansea had no ambition once they'd scored their goal in each leg and, unfortunately, we waited until the 2nd half in both legs to start putting meaningful pressure on them by playing balls towards our own players rather than hitting it aimlessly up field.....

    Yep same here mate

also had quite a few neutrals texting me saying how poor the ref was

hence why I’m so frustrated, we had a golden chance (which would have transformed the club) and to lose in this way is hard to take.
