Playing for .Melbourne Victory in the A-League. Goal and an assist in the 6-2 away win at Western United this morning. Top of the table with a 7 point lead.
Fair does YT. The table I saw said MELBOURNE... so ai assumed it was them. If I'd have gone down to 11th place I'd have realised my mistake.
It’s nice to see him back among the goals, but it’s also quite sad to see he’s in a league where players predominantly go to retire. Not a bad place to retire of course, but at just 30 you’d have thought he’d still be playing in a decent league with at least another 5 years left in him. When he was captain under Hill and scoring worldies on a regular basis, I honestly thought he would go on to play in the Prem and would have at least a cap for England but that just hasn’t been the case sadly.
Was great to watch when he played for us , I still remember that tackle what ruined our season and injured Jacob .
Melbourne Victory used to be the darlings of the A-League with Melbourne Heart the wooden spooners. Then Manchester City bought Heart, changed their name to City and suddenly they're top of the table. Football is being ruined by money all over the world. Another name from the past, Adam Le Fondre, scored a brace against Adelaide today.
