If Chelsea beat Man City 1-0 that means we are as good as Man City! Woo hoo! Logic is an incredible thing isn't it?
Well to be fair we gave Chelsea more of a game in the FA cup game than city have in the FA Cup semi Final and the Champions League final
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/54074842 City with one shot on target all game and now Chelsea have beaten them three times in a row in three different competitions. Pep really is overrated. Even with the dirty cash of one of the richest people in the world he cannot win the big one. Just like with Di Matteo it's paid off to sack a manager during the season.
Probably not but he hasn't had to spend for years as they generally make in sales what they spend in transfers and thanks to Lampard being the first manager of his era to give academy lads a chance they are set for years.
Beaten Man city fair and square, again. Well done Chelsea. Better to watch than City too. If they get a better finisher than Werner, and can be bothered for the whole of next season, there's your winners.
City couldn't get anything going forward, Chelsea had all 11 men behind the ball as soon as city got in their half Well played to them, completely shut City out
Tbf we gave Chelsea more of a scare than Man City although I would love to have seen Stonesy lift the cup . Interestingly we beat both the semi finalists of 2008 and one that went on to the final so we do have history of beating these super teams it’s just a case of getting into the Champions league rest should just be a formality .
No he didn't that's a myth. He had Kante bench warming for a while when playing Mount. He had Abraham as a regular when Giroud hardly got any minutes. When he played Odoi he could have given more starts to Kovacic. Rudiger looked on his way out because James played instead of him. He was never forced to give so much young English talent regular Football instead of far more experienced squad players. They earned their way in to the squad and it's unfair on any of them to think they only played because of the embargo when even during that period the Chelsea bench was full of talent that would be regulars at most other Premier League teams.
That's why he was given the gig though. Maybe he chose to utilise them more than he had to but it was still part of why he was appointed.
