Closer to work. Anyone know what havercroft is like? I live Elsecar. Also had one from Crofton? I applied for wakefield areas before coronavirus happened then lost interest in moving but its worth checking it out before I decline again....
My mother and grandmother were from Havercroft so I've spent a bit of time there. I'd go Crofton all day long.
That's the only fault with Crofton the people that live there I once worked with a gang of brickies from there, hearts of gold but boy were they argumentitive all day long they'd argue the toss between each other.
I got told that it looks same on every street therel Love the plot twist at the end pal lol ill see go have a look at Crofton if not I might just stay Elsecar as im looking for a new job anyway
I'd take a drive through Havercroft and make your own mind up mate. I'm sure like a lot of places there'll be better and worse parts, but no point in standing on ceremony - the bits I've seen are bit of a dump!
Thanks pal and to everyone with replies as im unaware of any of the places. Crofton does look nice to be fair looking through Google earth however ye call it
Havercroft is a deprived area, there is a lot of unemployment. It is surrounded by nice areas and housing. Crofton has it's areas of deprivation too but is generally considered a nice village. Bus services to Wakefield are a little more frequent from Crofton.
You'd be alright in Crofton mate, plenty of nearby countryside and near to Wakefield for a few nice bars and restaurants.
