    Final 1-0 Scotland. But not a lot between the sides and they were down to 10 men.

    Very average performance yet again. Won't know how good we can be cos half of the best 11 didn't get a kick cos they were 'tired' from a game over a week ago.

    Also saw lots of minutes awarded to lads that won't be there next week.

    We will only get to semi finals if we get a lucky draw again like in WC. As soon as we face anyone half decent we will get beat. Romania are a very poor side who aren't even at the euros and they had numerous chances today. Arguably they created much more from open play than we did. Our best two chances were pens. Other than that we didn't create a great deal.

    Absolutely no way are we winning the Euros, not with Southgate as the Manager. Granted we didn’t play a full string 11, but even then we don’t play like a team. Just a bunch of individuals. Questionable selections yet again, Henderson? Not played for 3 months, 4 right backs? Rashford been bang out of form for a while now & he’s made captain today.

    Best thing for us would be an early exit, get Southgate sacked off and we might win the world cup in eighteen months with a decent manager.

    You don't show your hand in a friendly, just hope he let's the players take off the handbrake. This team and squad isnt built of Italian granite.
    It's more a Keegan Toon we'll score more than you squad with just the right amount of steel.
    Pickford, Walker, Stones, Mings, Trippier, Shaw, Mount, Rice, James, Sancho, Kane. 5 subs 2nd half get Grealish, Rashford, Saka and Sterling on. Like Tarn keep it close and press em like made each game for 45 mins and reap the rewards 2nd half.

    I had a quiet day at work last week, made a spreadsheet to simulate the scores in every game based on form in the qualifiers. We get all the way to the final where we face Germany, lose on penalties after a 2-2 draw. You can't get more "England" than that.

    As much as I enjoy watching England our record in tournaments against top sides is absolutely appalling. And since we are on the harder side of the draw there is going to be no easy route to the later stages. All this talk of semi-finals etc is massively wide of the mark in my opinion. Expecting early trip home.

    I’m backing us to not get past the group stage. An early loss against Croatia puts the pressure on especially if Scotland beat the Czech’s, & i honestly think Scotland are a huge banana skin, they will be up for it more.

    Interesting Jimbo. I won’t disregard your prediction as it could very well pan out like that.
    Hopefully not the case mate. My own thoughts on it is a 1-1 draw a very likely outcome. But that is possibly wishful thinking on my part.
