    This could be our Ivan Toney signing.
    He was crap acc. to us until he found his place with Brentford. A few years down the line he has shown what he can do, let's hope DC can do the same with us.

    Won’t be a Toney signing, he was comfortably the best striker outside the top two leagues when Brentford signed him.

    But he will likely offer more of a threat than any of our forwards bar Woodrow and Morris.

    Wilder was trying to sign him for Sheff U a couple of years back so must have something about him. His goal output doesn't look the best - but then again same as Moriss and look how he's done. Seems like little risk attached so hopefully turns out to be another shrewd move.

    Tony had just scored 40 goals in 76 apps for his previous club I would have been over the moon with him signing.

    Coles scored 47 goals in 203 games with 10 different clubs.

    I don't see any harm in this signing at all.

    Free transfer, probably reasonable wages considering he's only been on the books of league 1 and Scottish sides recently. Tall physical striker who suits our style of play. Looked handy when we last had him, as a 19 year old with no experience. Played at this level before. Still the right age to improve.

    A lot of negativity around this signing, similarly to when we signed Morris.

    Trust the spreadsheet.

    He also cost somewhere around 3 or 4 times the cost of our record signing, and probably on something like twice as much as our top earner.

    I'll judge Devante on what he does for Barnsley next season, not what he's previously done. The same went for Callum Brittain & Carlton Morris, whose signings were also greeted with derision before they'd even pulled on the shirt.

    Looks like a bit of a no brainier to me. Free transfer, wages will be right and feels like an improvement in quality, over Frieser or Adeboyejo

    I'm working on the basis of three subs, if it is still five then maybe, though I think we might change our style next season as it seemed like teams worked us out towards the end.

    Excellent signing! On a free too and three year deal. I was impressed with him last time he was here and have followed his career and took an interest in his future. I wish him well.

    Now we have Frieser, Cole, Morris, Chaplin and Woodrow as seasoned strikers with Adeboyejo developing.

    To be honest, I’m surprised at this but I have a lot of faith in our recruitment - they / it are clearly more capable than me at deciding what makes a decent signing.
