This should be a good thread https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57404223 it seems like only last Week the government was insisting that vaccine passports would not be needed

It says you can show your status on your phone with the NHS app. But your status doesn't have your photo so what's to stop someone using the vaccine details of someone else to avoid a test? I suppose they could ask all the tens of thousands there to bring photo ID that matches the NHS app status but it doesn't mention that.
That's interesting. Looks like the only difference is that a vaccine exempts you from doing the test. I'm off to the cricket on Friday and you need to show that you've taken a lateral flow test within the last 24 hours, whether or not you've had the jab.
How they want you to do that? I mean you can order a LFT to your home so what's to stop someone doing that just to use it to say they have taken a test even if they don't?
As much as I love going to the games, I'm not sure I can be fúcking ársed to take an LFT every time I plan to attend.
It literally says ‘or negative test’ in the headline. No one has to have a vaccine and no one has to share their vaccinated status with anyone if they would rather have a test. If they did away with testing and said vaccine only I’d be on your side but the only thing complaining about vaccine passports used in this way will achieve is making it so everyone must have a test every time, regardless of vaccinated status which I’m not sure is what the people who are complaining want.
That and the whole point of lockdowns has been mainly to protect the elderly. But if this comes in for our domestic season they get in just fine and the younger people will be made to faff around to get a test before every game they go to as most will not be fully vaccinated until the Autumn.
