    Well it’s the big kick off tonight and......... meh.

    Far too many teams, format is shocking (2 weeks of non stop footy just to eliminate a few poor sides), no host nation etc. Really can’t get up for it.

    I’ll watch some of the games don’t get me wrong, if I’m home anyway and I’ve nowt spoiling. But I just can’t get excited for it. Probably doesn’t help that I’m not an England ‘fan’ as such. Used to be, the like of Cashley Cole, JT etc ruined it for me. Also the appalling behaviour of a lot of our supporters puts me off too.

    Is it just me being a miserable old so and so?

    I just can't be bothered with international football and the band of yobs that have always followed England and spoilt it for so many.

    I won't be going out of my way to watch any of the games, and other than assuming we play scotland from threads already, I couldn't tell you who is in our group or when games take place.

    I'm looking forward to it but I agree the structure is a farce. It should be 4 groups of 4, top 2 through to the quarters, no need for a round of 16

    I know it’s Croatia on Sunday and Scotland next Friday but I’ve no idea which other team makes up the group!!

    More teams would give England more chance as there's the hope that a decent team will lose out in their group at the expense of a minnow. I think England have a tough group. Lose on Sunday and it could be tricky getting through. I'll take England to get 5 pts. Draw v Croatia and Scotland and beat the Czechs.

    For the first time i can honestly say I'm not bothered about a major tournament, if and its a big if, England get to the latter stages ill have me face painted, be as pissed as a newt and generally become a jingoistic pillock like the rest of the country.

    I think it’s a real shame ppl feel like this as we have a squad of likeable lads tbh this year and a lot of them have had humble beginnings notably john stones. We have a team that is made of players from many teams and there seams to be a great togetherness rather than the majority being from United Liverpool and Chelsea.. so I think it’s a real shame you’re not getting behind the lads..

    but we all know that the ppl that claim they’re not interested will be right on it if England make the semis.

    I love international football, always have and probably always will.

    Excited for the England games, but just as excited for the first match tonight.

    Each to their own, but it's the only football I take interest in that doesn't involve Barnsley.

    I can’t wait to hopefully watch as many games as possible.
    18 months of staying in. Crap on tv. No pubs and sheer boredom.
    This football is exactly what I need. The entertainment and banter all have been badly missed.
    C’mon Scotland.

    I hope England, Scotland & Wales do well. But I won't lose any sleep if they don't. No team comes before Barnsley.

    Have you seen some of England's recent boring performances? I get your point but if I'm watching England I want to be entertained and I hate Saturdays with no Barnsley games ruined during the season by meaningless friendly internationals.

    If I was lucky enough to be offered a choice of the World Cup finals football tournament or an Ashes series in Australia it would be the Ashes all day every day.
