given that i started the Rob Royd thread there was even more to the story but given that the thread itself was blacklisted i wont continue it. Always thought the food was good but wouldn't vouch for the service from my experience. Cannon Hall Farm Shop the beneficiary of our switch. I would vouch for their food too and also the good service.
My only experiences of Rob Royd have been at Christmas and how they dealt with a tonne of orders and collections being fulfilled all at once and then one evening dinner. And all were positive. A quick aside, has anyone had experience of the farm shop over Pontefract/Featherstone way? Copleys I think its called.
Yep, Copley’s is well worth a visit. Excellent food cooked up and also excellent farm shop. Just west of Ponty on the main Feath road.
Thanks for that. Is there anything else that way like farm shops, butchers, artisan bakers etc. My mums moving over that way in the next few months so trying to get a few ideas for her. I googled farm shops and that one looked to have a lot of choice.
There's the Pontefract liquorice festival when things are back to normal, loads of stalls with that sort of thing. It has a very tasty pork pie with liquorice there.
Cant move to Ponte then!! Seriously, the market used to sell.a very nice cheese with liquorice in it at Christmas. My daughters liked it and they're not fond of liquorice either. Me, I love the stuff.
I think its around Hemsworth she's moving to, but I don't know precisely where. She likes the garden centres round Ackworth and Nostell Priory, so hopefully that gives her places to wander round that she knows once she moves and gets her confidence back post op.
