Bloody hope he doesn't leave, they're a headcase of an organisation. If you're reading Dane, continue the job wait for a proper big club. Not one living on past memories from a bygone era.
I’d be very surprised if this next season with Dane at the helm isn’t his last. Nurturing development and young talent isn’t exclusive to the playing side of Barnsley Football Club.
I don't expect him to be here much longer but that would be a sideways move. Hope he stays but then we hoped others like Mansford would stay but we soon moved on as fans.
Fair enough if he wants to move on, but Forest? Christ, going there is the equivalent of jamming your head in a wood chipper.
The speculation doesn’t surprise me at all but I don’t see him leaving ahead of what promises to be a big season for us, especially to go there. I have wondered before as to whether Ganaye may return if Murphy is eventually lured away.
Maybe the club presents opportunities to not only players to move on a 'better themselves' but to media team, box office and CEO too? Oh, hang on. Forest???
Big Ben - sexy Ganaye - American Dane - all started off with lots of suspicion but grew into the role superbly. The model isn’t dependent on Dane so I’ve know doubt we could handle his departure. But not that fruitcake of a club. Danes wife is on the payroll too so wonder if that might influence his decision if it comes to it.
Trouble is poor old Dane might be waiting a long time for his wages being paid if he joined the Wendies
I didn't read anything in that article which remotely suggests Dane is going to NFFC. It's a a scurrilous piece of writing, to sum up,current Greek CEO is considering returning to live in Greece. Who could replace him? (Anybody) oh I know, the Barnsley CEO. Absolutely shocking unsubstantiated article, published on the web. Don't forget, the NFFC owner is considered unsuitable to run a football club in some Eufa countries.
I don’t think they are mate. I had a tour of the City Ground last week and commercially they’re very, very switched on. Haven’t cracked it yet but I think their big season will come soon. New owner refuses to invest everything in players, so off the pitch they’re looking stronger than in a long time. Would be a great job to get right now and definitely a promotion from us (sadly).
Well it’s easily done I guess when you’re seeing plans and presentations you haven’t. Get your point though. Got the same opinion on Fulham. What they’re doing with that new stand on the river is groundbreaking.
The thing is though clubs such as Forest etc are very polished at the presentational thing. I remember going as a guest on a prematch tour of Villa Park about 25 years ago. It must have been shortly before Euro 96 because whilst we were in the dressing room Gareth Southgate walked through and it was before he missed that penalty. Anyway it was all very impressive and I came away thinking they were about to take off. They’ve done absolutely nothing since.
