Has anyone else noticed a distinct lack of them? Usually tournament time and they'd be allover the place. Also strewn over roadsides and hard shoulders. I blame Boris, Audi drivers, Brexiteers, ASDA, petrol stations, ABBA and someone else.
Remember up to about 2006 flags were strewn out of windows and cars etc, tbh I think its more of a case that we have generally been 5hit and paying for something that you had to take down within a week or two, not the anticipated 4 weeks as the 5hit media would tell us " Its coming home"
I’ve seen loads as usual. Not just cars, but flags in gardens and house windows etc. Always the same around here to be honest.
I've always thought they were naff, but now more than ever, when we're supposed to be trying to cut down on our use of plastic, it seems a folly we really could do without.
Car flags cannot be a good idea given the global climate emergency as they increase drag thus increasing fuel consumption.
Funny you should say that. I work in Wath, there's a house just around the corner from my work with St George's Cross painted on it.
I’ve seen no car flags (though I’ve not been out much) and there’s only one flag on the street, there’s usually half a dozen. Is this a mix of cabin fever, lack of interest in the team, society caring more about the environment? A mix of all of the above? Whatever it is, I’m happy there’s less plastic waste, but if my F&F are anything to go by, there’s plenty of interest in the euros
Up and down motorways all day think about average England flags but pulled in Blyth services about 3oclock today and there was 5 coaches of Scotland fans majority in kilts and Scotland shirts just wondering how many tickets they’ve got?
