Photo of pitch taken today…thought it was being replaced

That would require actual investment. Rather than what people believe is investment which appears to be acquire a club and don't pay for it and make money from it.

 

At the moment, we're only replacing stuff that other clubs want to buy from us.

 

Well there was an aerial shot of the pitch all brown a few weeks ago so it has been relaid ...

 

Was definitely as you say. The old pitch had been taken up. When I collected flags nearly 3 weeks ago.

 

I know sod all about grass (hehe) but aren't there basically two levels of seasonal maintenance for the pitch? One is to strip off the very top surface and reseed it which is done yearly and the other is to take away the sub layers too and completely relay the lot which is done every few years

 

You appear to know a lot more about grass than you admit to.

As a man with a yard (where someone has currently blocked my car in who is going to wake up without a car) your weeds and unkempt grass still puts you way above me in regard to knowledge on lawns. Although I'm beating you on how to dispose of selfish mother fc*ker's cars.

 

How long does it take to be relaid? There's time yet surely?

I know that one. Turf is where you get the grass and the soil together and urs started to grow a bit and seeds are just, well seeds! Juat call me Alan Titchmarsh!

 

They have relaid the patches of mud to resemble last year's pitch.
It's special mud.
It will be painted green don't worry.

 

Which of the two parties is responsible for the pitch? The Crynes or the 80%ers?
If the former then could this be a throwback to the dispute between them or am I over thinking this.

 

EFL STATEMENT.
Due to the poor condition of the Oakwell playing surface, Barnsley FC will be relegated to League 2 with immediate effect and will start the 2021/22 season on minus 12 points.

Cameron McGeehan will be banned for 3 matches.

 

I would have thought it would be the football club not the ground owners as they would want to dictate the quality of grass/budget etc spent on it.
I admit that is purely a logical guess so I could be completely wrong.

 

Looks like they ran out of seed, worse then my local park pitch. Going for the ploughed field approach.

 

Just seen a truck full of turf being delivered to Forests ground along with a handcuffed James Cryne, Dickie Bird and the guy who shouts “half time draw, parnd a go”
