    Personally I would give Murray a go. Would provide some continuity and he worked closely with Val. Am I right in thinking Cal gave him responsibility for set pieces too ? Did pretty well at that if so.

    I don't want it to happen, and I don't think it will, but Murray did cause the corpse to start twitching when Stendel had been sacked.

    The draw at West Brom was really promising, and I think we held Swansea, too.

    With all due respect, he managed us for 8 games and didn't get a single win. If Val goes, we've plenty of time to appoint a suitable replacement - no need to promote Murray permanently.

    There might not be a great deal of option this time. Getting someone from the Austrian league will be a lot more difficult post Brexit.

    We lost both league games against Swansea last season. Murray took charge of the draws against Bristol City, Stoke and Millwall following Struber's departure

    The draw against Swansea was the previous season, when Murray was caretaker between Stendel and Struber I think.

    I’d give Murray ago. He knows the players and weaknesses in the squad. Use the 2 mill on signings with clubs needing money we might get some bargains
