    You missed ‘honestly’ staring, perhaps he realised he couldn’t afford it and couldn’t get a sponsor to initially stump up for it

    Just paint instead. Last time I tried to hang wallpaper with the wife (20 odd years ago), it nearly ended in divorce. :):)

    Start by buying some paste , the wallpaper will not stick without it .

    Not sure but on a serious note I bought paper where you paste the wall instead of the paper & found it a lot easier to hang
