There, I said it..? One false move & the career is shagged. There’ll be no excuses at WBA. Best staying put & finishing the job, whatever that job is. I’m the last bloke to give careers advice, but just have.
You do know it's West Brom that want him not Real Madrid. It's a step up to West Brom but only a very very small one.
I actually think the opposite. Free hit. He’ll probably sign a tasty 4 year contract. If he does well he’ll be gone in another 12 months. If he doesn’t he’ll get paid up, be seen as another casualty of West Brom and walk straight into another job
WBA's first team squad as it stands Sam Johnstone (will be sold) David Button Darnell Furlong Semi Ajayi Kyle Bartley Cedric Kipre Dara O'Shea Connor Townsend Jake Livermore Matt Phillips Rekeem Harper Romaine Sawyers Robert Snodgrass Grady Diangana Matteus Pereira (will be sold) Karlan Grant Callum Robinson Kenneth Zohore Hardly puts fear of God up other championship clubs i imagine.
See Heckingbottom re Leeds United Made him financially despite being a massive failure. He knew what he was getting into.
Very true. But I'd rather have £100m to try and spend some of it wisely as opposed to a tiny slither of that.
Bang chuffin on, big Val has unfinished business here & for me money is not the be all & end all, not that I blame anyone for going for better money, I get that but if V.I. achieved the ultimate goal at B.F.C. That for me beats any amount of money for doing a job you love. He needs to stay & see his contract out, do it big fella, stay with us.
Sorry big val, gone by october. They sacked bilic a few months after promotion when they were about 3 points off safety
His previous coaching record suggests he never stays anywhere very long. There can always be exceptions, but if it's not West Brom now, I'd be very surprised if he was still here for much longer.
In the same way he thought I'll take the Barnsley job and it may lead to bigger things so it would be with West Brom. It's a step up the rung, to a bigger club that will back him with more funds and give him greater exposure. If he stays and things go badly here next season you can find yourself in the wilderness quickly
I’m trying to credit Val with more intelligence. It makes no sense to bail out after 9 months, when you’ve thus far, done a relatively good job? Might as well find his plan B method at Oakwell. I like the fella, would like him to stay with us. It not talking about what I want..
His head’s been turned now for me. I would worry about his level of commitment, and what might happen when the next offer comes along.
Think on, Val. If it takes the Baggies this long to get a decision about the manager out of their absentee owner, how long will it take for them to agree to just one transferred player?? Fools gold at Baggies. Stay with us, I say.

Worth reminding folk that if he stays he will inevitably get sacked at some point unless I’ve missed he’s on a contract for life.
More money for him and more to spend , I think he’ll rub some of the old guard like Snodgrass up the wrong way , don’t know if they are still on decent contracts so could hang about carping from the sidelines but the squad are probably in for a shock in pre-season Val will find out quickly who is with him and who isn’t …….that’s if he goes
