neither has the man you choose to excuse. Being an apologist is actually worse than defending him. Tory followers - What degree of law-breaking, rule-breaking, dishonesty, deceit, cronyism, nepotism, incompetence, bullying, conflict of interest or waste of tax-payers money would be enough for you to not support this Govt?
WTF, it is you who is missing the POINTs, it is a work-related performance and cannot be separated due to the following in no particular order: . Where it happened . His position as an MP which is an employee of the state and said it was the right thing to do when one of the top SAGE Scientific Advisors Resigned for similar behaviour. .The ministerial code of conduct has very likely been broken . The contracts that have been talked about . The constant preaching and telling the whole country about bubbles, Social distancing The only thing that is personal is how they both deal with it within their families I repeat as an ex Civil Servant I would’ve been Sacked on the spot, my defence of it being just a personal matter would’ve been laughed out of the disciplinary hearing. You have tried to call people out as wrong and tried to trivialise this by separating this ‘hanky panky’ episode from his role, Total tosh
I cant get my head round why some people want to blindly defend this government at every opportunity. Its endless and baffling.
Again no I'm not missing the point. Again I'm not defending him.. My whole point is attack him on the lines of his performance rather than going in on the personal life, no matter if they are linked. Personal stuff is far too easy brushed under the carpet as the PM has already done ignoring the link. Focus on the failings in delivery and he can't escape.. But I still object to Terry Nutkins taking that tone in response. Regardless of whether I find it offensive, and tbh personally I don't. I have however seen things start from a tiny little thread like that and experienced someone take their own life as a result of where it ended up. From a personal level online I'd laugh it off. Face to face, he'd get prpbably get the same back. But at the end of the day its all about keeping things civil and decent. That's my whole point from that perspective nowt else.
I visited my brother in Barnbrough (near Goldthorpe) on Monday and his wife immediately launched into a rant about what a good job Johnson's doing and then shut down all debate by saying "no politics though". Totally boiled my blood, could have slapped her - might have but for my brother....
But his personal life in this instance is linked to his performance, I really don’t know how I can make this any clearer, but one last example for the last time, his job/ role as Health Minister incorporated this everyone sticking to the restrictions that he advocated and put in place, he broke that. The aforementioned are all linked to his performance as Health Minister you cannot separate them
You haven’t laughed it off. You’ve bairned about it, sent me a PM and continued to go on about being told to eff off. Im pretty certain no one in history has taken their own life for being told to do one, so let’s not over dramatise something. Whether you like it or not, you did defend Hancock, you continuously defend the government even when even the most arduous Tory will struggle to do so. This isn’t the only time you have tried to downgrade sheer negligence by the Tory Party. In this case Matt Hancock is bang to rights, I really couldn’t give a flying toss if he has had an affair, no one is even suggesting that’s the issue. But you seem to think that’s what this thread is about. You’ve got that wrong and therefore your response is in defending the indefensible. I’m leaving it there. I’m not in the slightest bit sorry for my response last night. If you want to diva your way moving forwards then that’s you prerogative, I really don’t give a shït.
Spot on. I don’t understand the argument (well I do but it’s incorrect) that he can’t be dismissed because this is his private life. wrong. His conduct is inextricably linked to his role and he was doing this during work time. It’s absolutely a dismissible offence for this alone. But as I said up above, this is one of the least worse things he has done…
I don't think the sun released the end of the video for us to comment on his performance. In all seriousness though, he's getting his end away on tax payers money whilst completely contradicting the rules he's been preaching to the country for over a year. When people in authority and power show complete disregard for the rules we're all supposed to abide by then how is that not a 'failing in delivery?' You say you're not defending him, but it really does come across as you are.
That's what I don't get. How has the media allowed the racist one to say it's his private life. It was AT WORK. Saying it's his private life is like saying he stand in his office and masturbate because it's his private life
Interesting to note that Hopeless Hancock apologised to Clown Johnson for having it off with the sister of a man to whom he's awarded several NHS contracts, but somehow neglected to apologise to his own wife Of course Clown Johnson accepted the apology immediately and declared the matter closed. Well, he would, it's normal behaviour to him
I said as much yesterday. That he hasn't publicly apologised to his wife (grand daughter of Frederick Millar, 1st Baron Inchyra) and children says a great deal. I doubt he even apologised properly to dePfeffel. Just blustered words to hope he gets off the hook. I still think Hancock is toast. The media is running and running with it and the tone is completely different to all the other scandals. You have to wonder.... who are the people who told the media they could go for Hancock, but not for any of the others previously?
Perhaps the Thread by DavidCurriesMullet re Dido Harding’s **** up has something to do with it. It’s hard to keep pace now
