Pickford excellent along with Stones and McGuire. I’d pick a more attacking side make more use of subs but you can’t knit pick a win over Germany.

Edit, apologies for the knit pick

Thought Sterling & Pickford mom for me. Brilliant performance but I still feel more to come.

England have been very lucky this tournament. They have been based and played every game at home, the teams haven't been strong.
Imagine if they had had to travel between countries, play in 29° heat, against teams who went for it.
England are probably the dourest team left in the tournament but teams like that usually end up winning the Euro's.

I was critical of Southgate because I thought he was robbing the players of their day in the sun. & cowtowing to the FA.
But watching the Dutch & French neglect their defences, made me realise there’s more than one way to win a tournament. I posted as much this morning. Would still like to see more flair & think we will. :)

If we were dour then how would you describe Germany because I thought they were workmanlike at best? I don’t know so much about their squad but in Gundogan and Sane they kept two flair players on the bench with only the latter getting on after 87 min

German line up and the subs were baffling, but have to say we were the best team.
Weird that 2 players who scored had quiet or poor games.
We've had lads in the past who've tormented the Germans but ended up on the wrong side of a result.
I think provided if we don't lose key personnel we'll get the final. We're very organised and have more than enough firepower to win close games.
Only team that worries me are the Belgians on current performances.

Saturday in Rome could see the wheels come off..... not down to tactics or footballing skill....but the heat
That heat is a killer....when breathing in heavily......
Years ago I could never understand why the commentary crew would say that the players needed to climatise....
Soon found out why ...the first time I played in a game in Mallorca ...my very first sprint down the wing. I felt the inside of my lungs and the bronchial tubes were been burnt with a plumbers blow tourch.the more I tried to take deep breaths the more it hurt...brought me to my knees big time ...never felt pain like it ...every time I inhaled it hurt.... couple that with the panic of not been able to breathe it was scary.....plus the heat soon tires you

Be no better for Sweden or Ukraine though? 5 subs will help and Southgate plays a possession game. Have to think we will be ok in this one.

Watching Ukraine and Sweden we need to put another attacker in the team. Both are organised at the back but literally shat themselves when lines are broken. I hope Sweden win, most of their team are wrong side of 30. Forsberg looks a good player, he finds space but honestly can't see him doing that against us.

It looks as though it’s going to plan hopefully .
Extra time , sending offs through tired legs and mental fatigue because of penalty’s . COYRs I mean England .

Rome at 9pm is better than Rome at 6pm in July. Still bloody muggy and sapping but I think we'll be OK. Fingers crossed for a Robin Hood's Bay fog to occur on the day or heavy rain 2 hours before the game.

Didn't realise the game was being played that late .....to be honest....but that heat certainly is a leveler if you aren't careful
