It's ok.... it's just banter. Everyone does it. We're all the same. You're just being woke. It's not because she's German. Stop playing politics.

No. Just mutual respect and decency.

Thats daft. Anybody booing another country's anthem is pathetic and stupid. The equivalency you're making is that if other countries do it it's fine for us to do it. It's just not or are we happy to jump onto a downward spiral of utter lack of respect for anybody else?

Don't see the difference in club football and national football. The atmosphere at both can be very toxic but it can also be euphoric when your team wins. In football there's not much mutual respect amongst the most vociferous opposing fans. That tends to come from the quieter, maybe older or more knowledgeable fans. Always been the same so it's a bit of a forlorn hope to expect opposing fans not to sing disrespectful songs or boo. Personally I think booing your own players is far worse. I just don't get that at all. I've questioned this with so called Barnsley fans who sit near me and all I get is ,"I've paid my money, I'm entitled to boo if I want".

Its just odd that this debate never comes up whenever anyone else boos our national anthem, no one bats an eyelid. There's just an agenda against England and England fans.

Well it's because we're English and want to be proud to be English but some England fans make it very difficult to take pride in the team.
We have a history of Heysel, foreign cities being wrecked by drunken English hooligans, being banned from European competition. It's an appalling record. I don't care anything like as much what other countries fans do because they don't impact on my perception of what it means to be English.

So I'm ok to boo the Russian anthem then by that rhetoric?

But earlier you implied it was English fans only and that Irish fans are appalled. I've shown you video evidence that Irish fans do the same.

In reality Italian fans boo opposition anthems, Spanish fans have, french have, Tunisian fans have. Hungarian fans have, Irish fans have. Scottish fans have. Welsh fans have, Turkish fans have. Canadian fans have? Hong Kong fans have.

It's something done throughout the world at sporting events and as per usual a blind eye is turned to it until it's the fans who it's trendy to dislike.

As I've said before, the people condemning people for it have definitely been in stadiums where the opposition's team sheet has been booed when it was read out, I wouldn't be surprised to find that some have actually joined in.

Personally I think it's weird. I don't see the need to create an intimidating atmosphere at football matches. Id much prefer to have a chat with away fans before the game and a friendly chat after too than make them think I hate them

Here we go, woke’s in da house. Not about being sporting, it’s respect. Clapping or booing the opposition team, it’s nowhere near the same level as booing a country’s National anthem. See someone put this in your head last night and you decided to run with it. BAa

    No.

"I for one can't wait to boo the Italian anthem in the final."

If you're going to do it, do it properly.
