You beat me to it Churton.
That Anstruther chippy is very well known for fantastic fish suppers.

Mexico, Tulum to be exact. Yep there's hurricanes but I could live with that every year.
I love Cuba, I think I could get by it in a town called Moron, not sure if the wife and nipper could.
Honestly it's one of the best places I've ever been and the town is amazing. Great people Cubans, they make do and get on. The people reminded me of Barnsley folk in the 80s growing up.
We stayed in a hotel in a part of Cuba (Cayo Coco) where only guests stay and Cubans travel to work. We went there on our 2nd day, and found it safe and charming. So we got a local to take us 5 times and not part of tour. We had some cracking meals and laughs with the locals.

“The Waterfront” at Anstruther is the place to stay! Been up there a few times. Great chip restaurant too.

Overlooking the harbour. My dad & ancestors were Fifers from Cupar and Dundee/Perthshire.

For me, I’d like to think Canada. I’ve been Eastside and heard great things about Vancouver. Told my parents I was going to emigrate there at 22, but meet the wife at 21 and she put a stop to that one!

Crail is a lovely village and the walks along the coast and the villages are amazing. We have been a number of times and love it. This would be our second choice of location to settle in, but I think the short winter days would not be good for our mental well-being

I've been lucky enough to visit over 40 different countries. For the lifestyle Australia takes some beating and Thailand for the friendliness of the people but overall I'd say New Zealand. Only problem with it is that it's on the ring of fire so partial to the odd earthquake.

Alaska for me. Had a fascination for years about living off grid in a Cabin. Just something about it I love the idea of. The Wife’s not keen though.

You showed a lot of foresight there. Marrying someone with some common sense! :)

Spain for me, but not the touristy bits. Possible Mallorca in the north east of the island, somewhere near Pollensa. I've got a degree in Spanish and speak it fluently. As part of the degree I had to study history, literature, geography, culture, minority groups and languages, the lot. I love the place, the food, the people and the craic. Will it happen? No, should have done it years ago and got citizenship.

I’ve not looked into citizenship but It’s very hard to get Residencia in this post-Brexit world and that’s why a lot of part timers in my position will be considering selling up and forgetting the “Spanish dream”. The levels of income required are now very high and there are lots of bureaucratic hoops to jump through. We’re not going to bother and will be selling our Costa Blanca house as soon as practicable.

New Zealand for me. Just beautiful and still pretty civilised. And the most scenic of crickets grounds to have a couple of beers and pass an afternoon at.

And I know it's against the OP rules, but I love Scotland. Had some lovely holidays and visits to The Open at Carnoustie. Being at the coast is therapy for me, I'd be quite happy opening the curtains to this view every morning. IMAG0212.jpg
