Strange. If its a spectator issue why not play behind closed doors?

Gutted. There is general advice not to travel to the north west. Half of Scotland is on holiday in Blackpool though.

I would assume that for AFC Fylde there's just very little benefit to then of playing us. The only benefit there was was financial and that's been ripped away because of the purity proof laws we now live under

Fair point but its a shame as it's yet another disruption to our preparations.

Nobody has told people travelling into Liverpool - loads arrived today at Lime Street. Quite a few groups which looked like stag and hen dos

I know it's short notice but a couple of hundred Fylde fans and 10 Barnsley surely wouldn't be too much to sort out test-wise. Pathetic that they're requesting negative tests anyway, it's outdoors and a pre-season friendly. Give me strength

If you play for a international side in the euros you far less likely to catch covid look at when the jock in the Scottish side got it and only one other player had to self isolate not the whole team who he had been training with indoors and out and socialising with and were all in the same bubble. Its getting beyond a joke each week this so called pandemic

No need to apologise mate, totally agree with you. And my comments are aimed at the guidelines too, theyre ridiculous. I do think though that even though they shouldn't need to, they should play it behind closed doors. Can't understand why they're not.

Boris could have stopped. He's in charge so all decisions happen on his say so. He is the only one to blame.

No he couldn't. He could have slowed its arrival in the UK but couldn't have stopped a virus from doing what a virus does.
