I can’t think of any examples of reports saying that we are “interested in” or “linked with” where we’ve actually signed the player. The ones we have signed over the last couple of years have generally been agreed by the time it’s reported.

As pointed out I don’t see anything truly linking us with him, unless someone is going we don’t need a centre half. A quick google search shows more evidence of Hull wanting him. I think his agent has thrown our name in the make him appear more sort after than he is.
