    He always gave 100 % for the town.
    Remember he was only 19 when he came here.
    Had a few late ones in Treddles with him when he played for Bolton.

    My sister got me an invite to her mate's engagement party and he was there. I can't remember how old I was but definitely under-age and I made a tit of myself and fell over on the dance floor. I look up and there's Gerry standing over me, reaching out an arm to pull me up. I hope I didn't, but I suspect I made even more of a tit of myself afterwards when I'd realised who it was.
