Be a good test against a good side. Since the media said the other week we were hoping for an away Premier League friendly I was wondering who it might be. Hopefully fans will be allowed to watch it. Especially for our southern based fans who don't get the chance to see the team in person as often as most.
Doesn't matter, we are playing Sheffield Wednesday. That's like playing the champions of the world, albeit it's THEIR cup final.
From the Watford Observer. Instead, Watford will now host Barnsley at Vicarage Road on Saturday, July 31 at 4pm before travelling to Selhurst Park to face Palace for their final match of pre-season on Saturday August 7 at 3pm. Their other two friendlies at home against West Bromwich Albion on July 24 and away at Stevenage on July 27 will both still take place. The club has confirmed that supporters will be able to attend all four matches and will announce ticket details soon.
