I'd go, be intriguing because over lock down you develop a mind's eye view of who people are, probably end up being completely confounded. No bad thing in itself, I like surprises.
I’ve got a list of posters I’d like to have words with regarding their comments towards me. Calling be Jock, skirt wearer, laughing at the Scotland team, laughing at our weather. Laughing at my staple diet of haggis and deep fried Mars bars. Saying my Tennent’s lager is pish. All very racist and unacceptable. I’m sure those guilty know who you are. I might make an appearance.
I'm up for it. Not far from Greasbrough . Nice little village me and Laura took George for his dinner at the Rockingham last summer and went to the garden centre and farm.
I did think about the Rock, too. It has the barn for functions. But it’s more corporate ran & unlikely to get a good deal. George is freehold & more flexible. They’re going to give me a quote for 30, including the marquee & buffet. If they’re confident of shifting a lot of ale, hopefully get it for a tenner a head.
I’m sure Glen would be able to accommodate. He’s a decent landlord and it’s not as corporate as you may think.
Yes, mate. Glen’s a good pal. But his hands are usually tied with Green King rates & policies. I tried to organise a Kes evening/screening there with David Bradley. But there were issues about film copyright, even though Dave has permission from Ken Loach & United Artists. Glen is up for most stuff, it’s just the firm that stops him.
Currently sunning myself in Ibiza, just seen this, Mrs says you’re right 2 minutes is about right…including giving myself a standing ovation
Thought you might object to the George and Dragon Ian but maybe it’s the Welsh boys that would take offence.
