They are still at war with Russia or the U.S.S.R. I think

Hope this makes you sleep easier mate.

A peace treaty was only finally signed by a Russian diplomat and the the Mayor of Berwick in 1966. As the mayor said at the time: "You can tell the Russian people that they can now sleep peacefully in their beds".

Hornsea is like Featherstone on Sea. So Berwick must be a right sh!thole.

    It is.

And geographically it is actually in England NOT Scotland.

Can't agree, we were there a couple of weeks ago and it was ok. Mind you I've never been to Castleford....

So do I. Was there earlier this year on the Coast and Castles cycle ride. Like Hornsea too! Hope to be there in 4 days time as I’m starting the Trans Pennine Trail tomorrow. And I LOVE Cas. Come on you Tigers.

There is a great haggis place in Berwick. Other than that the town escapes me. Not saying it isn't good, just I was doing a record fair buying trip with a Scotsman & it was a stop off.

Great place Berwick, love walking the walled part, seeped in history. Was at Morecambe yesterday now there’s a place difficult to love.

We met a woman at Lindisfarne castle, we asked her to take a picture of me and Anne, she had cycled up from her daughter's in Newcastle the day before in peeing rain. We had cycled into Newcastle from Tynemouth in the same conditions. She was doing the Coast and Castles route, it sounds like an excellent ride.

A bit young for me, in her late 40s I'd guess but yes...
