I genuinely dont know what to say about policing in this country when a police force is moving so far away from protecting prioritizing protecting the public
if anyone has any additional info that shows this is not as it seems from the original tweets I would be very relieved to see it, though I wont be holding my breath

as @StatisTYKE says in his excellent post "A Story" we live in a different world today

Cue the police apologists; 'they do an impossible job'; 'never the old bill's fault'; 'it's all immigration's fault'; 'but, Corbyn?' blah blah blah. Scary to see the police state in full swing, with dear Priti at the helm. No excuses for these scum.

Met police are a law unto themselves, always have been a political tool and always will be.
You've got police doing this and number 10 saying who can be employed at BBC.
A government who ignores court rulings what a time to be alive.

Yes I know I've posted this before but look at Farnham's post and then read Aldus Huxley's vision...

“We may expect to see in the democratic countries a reversal of the process which transformed England into a democracy, while retaining all the outward forms of a monarchy. By means of ever more effective methods of mind-manipulation, the democracies will change their nature; the quaint old forms - elections, parliaments, Supreme Courts and all the rest - will remain. The underlying substance will be a new kind of non-violent totalitarianism. Democracy and freedom will be the theme of every broadcast and editorial. Meanwhile the ruling oligarchy and its highly trained elite soldiers, policemen, thought-manufacturers and mind-manipulators will quietly run the show as they see fit.”
