    And on so many fronts.

The crowd trouble was predictable and I think inevitable, ridiculous ticket prices (one guy I was talking to on the tube paid £5,000 for two tickets - bog standard ones not Club Wembley or hospitality), 25,000 empty seats on a day that had seen a capacity centre court for the tennis, 8pm kick off meaning the idiots had been on the lash all day, inadequate stewarding and police presence

The 8pm kick off also meant the match didn't finish until gone 11pm, the stadium emptied because most people knew that if they didn't leave straight away they'd have no chance of getting a train, and did London Transport put on extra services to move tens of thousands of people and get them home safely? Of course not, normal Sunday service meaning I had to walk the two miles from Euston to Camden at half past midnight, not a fun stroll when the streets are full of drunken, angry, shouty young men.

Ah well, deep breath, World Cup next year.

That's a long way to walk home from Qatar to Camden.

I hope some of those p155ed up blokes try that kind of behaviour in Qatar - will be a very different outcome.

They should have only let fans with tickets onto Wembley Way those who tried to storm the entrances and cost some genuine fans with tickets from watching the game are pure scum .

Obviously can't comment as I wasn't there, but I think back to when I went to the World Cup in Germany. Was virtually impossible to get anywhere near the stadium without a ticket. There were three checkpoints, starting about 100m out from the stadium. I suspect many of these idiots took inspiration from The Capitol.

The tube after the game was a joke!!! We qued for ages for the metropolitan line only to find out it was pretty much cancelled so ended up getting the jubilee line to Stanmore and walking the rest of the way to Edgware. I commented before the game that it seemed very under policed.
2 lads I’ve come back with this morning saw some gangs scrapping and one of them got knifed

I’m surprised you managed to get up Wembley Way, I was warned that it was almost impassable at 4pm so changed my routine and went via Wembley Central which was busy but far less crowded. I did the same after the match but got tripped up at Euston because they cancelled all Northbound services as I arrived.

Sounds like a complete balls up all round. I wonder what happened to any sense of planning?

Apart from the chaos on Wembley way we didn’t have it too bad. Got in ground before 6 after game walked to Wembley station got a train after 20 minutes queuing, took less than 15 minutes to Marylebone, short walk to Baker Street back in hotel at St Pancras by midnight. The organisation wasn’t good but we didn’t suffer as much as some. Reckon it will be a lot easier for Andorra game in September.

Wembley was the same when tarn was there against Millwall, what did stewards or cops for that matter do when they charged round on top deck in stadium. Yes I know it was millwall idiots but problem was cheap labour stewards employed by FA with over 90% of them could not understand or talk English

No the Problem was Millwall Thugs.

it may have been not contained by poor stewards but actually they did a pretty good job forming a line along the edge of our fans and I'd like your evidence that only 10% could speak English as I just dont believe you

Me and my son spoke to at least 6 stewards and a supervisor and non could understand but the way you are thinking it was probably our Yorkshire accent that is wrong, just saying

Whilst I’d love this to be true it wasn’t solely Millwall thugs and we can’t look at it that way. So many scousers, geordies, northerners (mainly Leeds fans - and I’m not being biased), and cockneys.

Tarnished the occasion. Was complete and utter chaos and hopefully the UEFA investigation will show how embarrassingly under resourced Wembley Way was.
