Did anyone see that Peter Ridsdale has been voted onto the EFL Board (along with Forest Chairman Nicholas Randall QC and Neil Bausor, Middlesbrough CEO) and that our own Paul Conway was unsuccessful?

I know that the clubs themselves voted to elect these people but can it be right that Peter Ridsdale, a man who was given a 7.5 year ban from being a director in 2012 is now a Board member? I get the legal position that he now qualifies again but what message does this convey about the fit and proper person test?

Since when has fit and proper meant anything to the EFL. Wasn't the Derby CEO the chair last season?

with Conways vocal comments that the EFL needing to show strength in its governance it would always be hard for him to get backing

The EFL is taking its lead from the government - appointing obviously inappropriate people. Oh my days - what a mess it is as an organisation

Why would anyone from the EFL want someone on the board who advocates and champions clubs being self sufficient
