According to journalists over in Belgium. And apparently there will be no transfer fee involved, instead performance bonuses and a sell on clause. Also reporting it will be a 3 year deal, if true seems a decent gamble to me.
https://www.voetbalprimeur.be/nieuws/988880/done-deal-oulare-wisselt-standard-in-voor-barnsley.html I wonder if it could be announced tomorrow so he can make a massive debut over the weekend?
Not played many games for a 25 year old. Not really a gamble. So let's see how it pans out. Big lad too.
Didn't we release a player a few years ago on a free but with a 50% sell on, did Ipswich end up buying him for 1.2 mill getting us 600k.......can remember his name - striker
Selling anyone and everything for a free and a huge sell-on is pretty much my old guaranteed football manager club development system (tm).
Watford signed him for £6m in 2015 but done nowt since could go either way sounds like last chance saloon to make a career for himself, but he’s made his cash, so depends what motivates him
The fans in Belgium don't rate, varying from "his body is finished" to "he's not that good". Who knows?
I saw that he liked a tweet wishing him luck at Barnsley. A lot of people saying he’s very injury prone, if we get him fit, he could be just what we’re looking for as a big striker.
Just to note how massive they are. Owlstalk nob says. the bigger club always play away. ( Obviously. to boost the coffers of their smaller counterparts. )
Maybe he should be told we're only playing them on our training pitch. Not even going to sully ourselves getting the mower out for the main pitch when we face such low level minnows ;-)
