Nigel Farage joining GB News. The first time a rat gets on board a sinking ship! * *Pinched from my wife's Facebook feed!
Don’t want to worry you but Katie Hopkins has just been fired and deported from Oz. And will be in need of a job. She would fit right in to give added balance
The best thing I’ve seen written on this. I see you, Nigel Farage. Which is exactly what you want, really, isn’t it? None of this is actually about the RNLI, migrants, the dangers of sea crossings or anything else. Your day to day life, chock full as it is with so many hours of tedious posturing, isn’t remotely affected by immigration or the refugee crisis. They have no impact on your life beyond the abuses you inflict on them to maintain your own profile. It’s ironic, isn’t it? For all the dog whistling and bravado, migrants are the life raft keeping your pathetic existence afloat. Without them you’d be nothing. Not waving, but not drowning, either. Just flailing desperately for relevance with nothing to cling to, adrift in a sea of your own boring ********. You had to bring out the big guns for the relaunch of Brand Farage, and in that respect this has been an absolute success. GB News isn’t about headlines, or facts, or heaven forbid actual solutions to any humanitarian crisis. It’s about video snippets and social media outrage that go viral far beyond the reach of the channel itself, which really isn’t that hard given that nobody is ever actually watching. Of course you aimed for the greatest controversy you could create - you’ve got nothing else to offer. You’ve fought bigger and uglier opponents and won, have you? Christ. You couldn’t achieve purer cringe if you distilled the full box set of Curb your Enthusiasm into a lemon-scented suppository. You may as well have ripped your shirt off and chanted ‘come and have a go if you think you’re coastguard enough’, like the failed mid-life crisis of embarrassing pencil-necked machismo you are. Sweetheart, please. You lost an election to a ******* dolphin, which is probably why you hate the sea so much. All you’re doing now is dragging your cesspit of a network down to the exact depths it always protested it wouldn’t reach. Watching Andrew Neil balk at you now is like watching a dog vomit after it chooses to roll in diarrhoea at the park. If GB News is supposed to be the last true bastion of great British patriotism, picking a fight with the much-admired RNLI goes against everything it pretends to stand for. What’s next, if this is how they choose to celebrate this country’s treasured institutions? Tune in next week to find out, when Michelle Dewberry will be digging up the corpse of Beatrix Potter, kicking it in the tits and shouting at it that Peter Rabbit is a snowflake cuck. If inspiring drunken thugs to hurl beer cans at lifeboat crews and advocating for men, women and children being left to drown at sea is what’s great about this country, then I don’t want any part of it. And make no mistake, without the RNLI that’s exactly what will happen. The hardline rhetoric, the culture wars, the demonisation of migrants to distract from years of failed policy, do nothing to actually address the crisis and never have done. They don’t help or save anyone. It’s thanks to blowhards and opportunists like you, Nigel Farage, that we’ve burned our bridges with regard to international co-operation, leaving clueless incompetents like Priti Patel with no option but to hurl money at the French. What was it you said about not sending millions to Europe any more? After years of failing to get a grip of the situation, all the floundering cowards in government have got left is the hate campaign, criminalising migrants for the simple act of fleeing here in the first place. If the human traffickers are the target here, why on Earth are we now legislating to punish their victims? Patel has never understood how a deterrent actually functions and that’s as obvious today as it was the time Ian Hislop ran rings around her on capital punishment years ago. She’s hopelessly out of her depth and always has been, meaning that she ironically needs the RNLI more than anybody. That’s without even considering the stinking hypocrisy of it all. If acting unlawfully is the greatest criticism the Home Office can make of the migrants it wants to deter, then it desperately needs to get its own house in order first and stop detaining them in disgusting and illegal conditions. If breaking the rules is justification for your removal then the Home Secretary shouldn’t even be in a job. Instead she’s applauded by the government for turning bullying the helpless into a national strategy, as we turn ever inwards as a country and shrink by the minute, becoming ever more venal, spiteful and myopic. Maybe that’s the whole point; if we can’t deter channel crossings through legislation, and we certainly aren’t willing to offer the proper route to asylum that we’re obligated to under the international agreements we signed up to, maybe we can just put the migrants off by simply not offering them a better option. What’s the point of fleeing one failed state and corrupt regime for another? If the shelves in Morrisons are anything to go by, we’re not too far off famine and political upheaval ourselves. That’s partly down to you again, Nigel Farage. You fought the bigger and uglier opponents in our national supply chain and won, too. So much winning! There is something to be said for your determination to embarrass yourself, and it’s the joy to be derived from the spectacular way in which it’s now backfired on you. You’re desperate to be seen, so that’s exactly what you’ll get, and the decent people of this country will turn your face into the one that launches a thousand lifeboats. We’ll raise a pint of great British bitter to you for that one, Nigel Farage. Thanks for the suggestion. By picking a fight with the RNLI, all you’ve actually achieved is to remind us that they need our support. I see you, Nigel Farage. I fücking see you. (Something a bit different this week - before you do anything else, hit the Donate button at the first link below to donate to the RNLI. Once you’ve done that, don’t forget to check out the latest episode of the I See News podcast!) https://rnli.org/support-us/give-money/donate
I hope you send this to GB News,Farage and every other media outlet. I would also include your local MP too. A great well thought out article. I thought we had reached the bottom as a country but the abuse of the RNLI and its volunteer members, is really the last straw for me.
Did it the other day, their donations are running at 3000% of the normal level,. I suppose you could say Farage had done them a massive favour Unintended consequences eh?
I was pleased to see that Scottish historian on there (Niall ... Is it?) as I couldn't stand him on documentaries but didn't have a good justification before , other than a sense he generally seemed an obnoxious, egotistical *****. I'd turn the telly over if he was on.
