Hey all, obviously with restrictions being lifted in England today you’d assume that Wales will follow suit but only information I could find was the 7th of august day of the game is the day they lift restrictions, has anyone else booked trains/accommodation?
I'm still not convinced that full capacity will be allowed, or away fans. Call me cynical. That being said, I'm pencilling in the Bolton cup game.
I had a nosey the other day and there are no tickets on sale? Not going but if I was then I think I’d give the club a ring and see if they know owt.
Can't see it. If we can't let home fans in for a pre-season match on the training pitch, add to that the situation with the away fixture at Fylde, I can't imagine away fans being let in anywhere for some time. Not that I agree with it.
You’d think now with restrictions being lifted in England that we’d be able to go to say Bolton away, and Bournemouth away on the 11th of September
and QPR away in August -though our record when we are allowed in is dreadful, the record when we cant go is pretty good so if we are banned its not the worst thing that can happen. Hoping we can go to Bournemouth
You would think, but I would have thought the Fylde friendly would have gone ahead and people would be allowed to watch a friendly at Oakwell, especially when we had over 4000 for the play-off and 60 odd thousand at Wembley. I also foresee a second lockdown in September/Autumn time, so I think the jury's out and I don't think clubs will be able to allow away fans for a few weeks before restrictions come back in the autumn.
You never know with Drakeford (first minister) he could do anything, normally does opposite to Boris we still got restrictions and still wear masks
The EFL are their usual slow self at giving fans some clarity. Clubs will want to know if away fans can now go to games. Fans will want to know if they can book travel and accommodation for games. The season starts in under three weeks and everyone appears to still be in the dark with what is going to happen.
Given the current situation with Covid, I will await arrangements for home fans and study them carefully before I attend a home game, ST or not?
I'm down in the Brecon beacons at the minute and things do seem a lot stricter, think the Welsh are only moving into level 1 which is what just ended in England
Watford want fans to keep wearing a mask...... https://www.watfordfc.com/news/ticket/tickets-wba-barnsley-friendlies They not realise it's an outdoor venue? Even in the concourse it's not completely shut off so you still get a natural air flow.
Its also going to be quite crowded in those areas. They dont expect you to wear a mask at your seat so I dont think its an unreasonable request that fans in busy areas wear masks. Id have no problem if that request was made at Oakwell
My son is a member at United (he has an ST at Oakwell, before you all start) - and we just this minute got a text to say there's limited away tickets available at their friendlies at Preston and QPR.
I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for rail tickets rocketing in price nearer the time should we be allowed to go.
