George Miller is absolutely pinching a living at the club. Never good enough. Most random signing ever i think.

What about that postman who scored against Ipswich?

    That was a weird one...

One of Chaplin/Frieser/Adeboyejo to go then it seems. I reckon Victor will end up at one of the other clubs - most likely Nancy, with Stendel.

You’ve got your journeymen mixed up. Andy Evans was the postman, Mike Turner was the Liverpool grad.

We’ve had a lot of them, to be fair.

Who did we sign during that "most successful transfer period ever"? Those pandemic seasons finishing and starting out of sync have thrown me.

It still amazes me that anybody thought that replacing Pinnock and Lindsay with Diaby and Andersen was a good way to prepare for a Championship season. Radlinger for Davies I can understand to some extent.

It would be nice if they actually did sign a good striker. A lot of recent Barnsley strikers haven't struck, they've missed. A good one would really perk things up.

We had one in Mowatt , I get the impression we are talking about his replacement not some new concept .

Also explains the lack of interview with new CEO so far that people have asked about as he’s serving his notice

nope I meant more experienced than him, someone with some charisma and vision with authority who can drive the team on

Not sure what charisma has got to do with it but 8 goals & 7 assists hewill take some beating & buying a better player than Alex will be out of our budget I am afraid

tbh I stopped getting excited when Mowatt got the ball a long time since , sure he hit an odd spectacular goal, but far too many shots ended up high wide and handsome and a lot of his passing was nothing special .
Also I would argue 8 goals and 7 assists is also nothing special for someone in such a key position.
If you don’t know what charisma has to do with it, I presume you never saw Ronnie Glavin and have forgotten Neil Redfern and the buzz and anticipation that spread around the ground when they drove forward.

Do not patronise me, I go back to 1961 watching the reds so I know all about our exciting stars from the past but last season the ball was passed over the top of midfield with a totally different style to the past & if you cannot see the value of Mowatts contribution then I am stunned

what are you on about patronising ? you were the one that asked what charisma had to do with it, I just explained.
I didn’t say I didn’t think Mowatt was decent , I just happen to think that’s all he was, decent. It had nothing to do with the style, I just get fed up when at free kicks etc commentators say this is in Mowatt range because the percentage that actually hit the net was minimal.

I rated Mowatt highly as our best player and Captain but you need to be getting double those figures.

We have scored a lot of goals from his set pieces & it's obvious he is top end championship which will take some replacing especially 15 goals involvement
