Someone I know has just spent £500+ on one. It's just a ******* fan, it doesn't even cool the air. Dyson must be laughing his plums off at the idiots paying that.

I think most Dyson stuff is over-engineered tat. Their marketing people are funking geniuses though.

You know how the bladeless fans work?

By a bladed fan, hidden in the base.

I bought into the hype a couple of years ago and had one for about a week when I was desperate during a heatwave.

Sent it back and bought a portable AC unit for a similar price which was infinitely better.

I've since had proper AC installed in the house, but the portable AC unit was a lot better use of money than the dyson.

Cheaper to buy an aircon unit. Which would actually cool the room not just blow warm air at you

I was looking at non-branded bladeless fans as, as a really light sleeper, 'normal' fans are far too loud for me to have running.

Ended up going for a Reiga ceiling fan instead and my mind was blown. Genuinely are virtually silent, measured it at 19 decibels in setting 2 which is less than a whisper.

Pain in the arse to fit but well worth it.

My mother in law swears by hers so we borrowed it this week for the baby who was struggling to sleep in the heat. Sent it back to her after 2 days no better than the cheapo fan we had. Going to get a proper air con unit for next summer.

Don’t waste your time on a Dyson vacuum either, get a Shark.

My wife has the Dyson hairdryer which she really likes though.

Can I mention advocating Brexit and moving production overseas or is it inappropriate?

Couldnt agree more. We bave a cordless shark and honestly, its best thing ive ever bought for the house. Its a brilliant bit of kit!
Also agree RE the air con unit, similar priced if not slightly cheaper than the dyson fan and actually cools.

Really do not understamd the dyson hype. Similarly to iphone. Mainly a fashion item as opposed to being a better product.

Had a shark a few years ago, excellent vacuum. Had an iPhone once (company phone) and while it was generally ok, the simple act of putting a few ringtones on it was a complete nightmare. I'd certainly never buy one for myself.

My mate used to like farm machinery but he doesn’t any more. He’s an ex tractor fan.

Plus, you’re not supporting the robbing ******* who took UK tax payers money and then transferred manufacture to Poland!
