We will be OK as we cannot let 20,000 in, so can avoid discriminating against people.

This is not an argument not to get the vaccine. My own view is people should - I’ve had it. It’s about freedom to choose. How after over 1,000 posts on this thread are you not getting that?

I didn't say anyone should be compelled to have it. Ever.

I was making the point that people's freedom to choose a sky fairy or a anti-vax conspiracy theory over science can leave them in hospital or dead.

Some of that guys twitter posts are heartbreaking. The 'pile on' from the 'progressive' Twitterati is distasteful to say the least. :(

Around 70,000 infections lower over the past four days than the same four days last week. Next week should see a rise as we reach week two of 'freedom' so if we see infections continue to go down it will even more so justifity reopening and show passports are not needed.

Just out of curiosity has London seen any Pro vaccine protests?

For Tramlines my daughter had to upload a photo on the NHS app which gave her a qr code. It was just the lateral flow test.

Or just show your text message or e-mail confirming you’ve had a negative test in the last 48 hours - like for the crucible or Wembley.

Although scrap Wembley for the Final. Could have shown a text confirming I had tested positive and nobody would have looked at it.

"Hold on sir, this is just a text message confirming you have Chlamydia."

    "Chlamydia, not Covid."

    "In you go."

Yeah, I’m sure you’d agree he was right about Enoch Powell too (he’s not got a great record when it comes to political causes)

Bad news for Boris as he comes out of isolation today. Trying to force people to have a jab to do things wasn't going to make him popular.

Telling people to be sensible and isolate if pinged by the app then trying to get out of it himself can't have helped.

Such a shame as it was an opportunity to set a good example to the country coming out of official restrictions. But as usual the Muppet failed dismally.

Depressing that he'd almost certainly still win a snap election today

Chelsea have blinked first. I suspect the negative test part will be gone in 2-3 months when all adults will have had plenty of time to get two jabs.

So my problem with this is on one hand we are being told that even after 2 jabs you are at risk of getting and transmitting the virus
paradoxically I think you are much less likely to be asymptomatic if you haven't been jabbed so are less likely to pass it on without being aware so for me it almost makes more sense to require a negative test from those who are jabbed

from a personal point of view its better for me as I am double jabbed so have the passport anyway

But then it could be a false negative so might be best if we let no one in just incase.

I admit i'm being facetious there but we have to draw the line somewhere and surely being double jabbed is sufficient.

i'm not condoning anything clapton said at the time but in the years since his outburst clapton has donated a lot of money to help the fight against racism , he has also appologised for his comment, which came out when he was an alcoholic and a drug user

david bowie was another superstar who was linked to facism

No mention of needing photo ID either so people can register a negative test result without taking a test to get in or just borrow an NHS letter off someone to show at the turnstile. The letters have a name and DOB so as long as a male in their twenties doesn't show a letter off Margaret DOB showing they are 60 then whoever checks it isn't going to question if it's you or not.
