I do not know anyone who has more than one mam. Neither do I know any parent who is more than a single parent. I understand the term single parent household but every parent is a single parent.

    Pedant moi?

I started taking my lad at about 5 when I did there had been kids going from 4 who were miles ahead of him football wise. I think any sport can only be good for kids even at a young age excersize, make new friends, socialise. My lads nearly 10 now still playing best thing I did get him into football at a young age for many reasons. Plus even at 10 where I live its not like it used to be where kids are having a kick about on street after school many kids go home pick a xbox controller up and talk to there mates on head sets untill bed time.

As you say, things are different from when we were young. I suppose organised football for 1 or 2 hous a week is better than no sport at all. Do they teach 'em "one kick"? :D

Can't remember to be honest I think at 5 they only took them for 40 mins at a time mostly working on all sorts but trying to make it all fun and then last 10 mins have a little kick about. When he was 6 he started in under 7s.

What about slow cookers? Stick some veg and stick and meat if you like…. Leave on all day, then a nice healthy meal in the evening!

Love slow cookers - only a winter thing for me though. Can't beat stew inside a giant Yorkshire Pud when it's minus 5 outside.

What about making the turnstiles narrower then any fat people who can’t fit though will turned away at the gate? Could lay on some buses to ferry them back to Greggs

Whereas the saddo to whom you replied to ‘walks in tarn to try and find any negatives that they think supports their stereotyping.
