Could be a typical Barnsley season, do well against the top teams who try and play and rubbish against the bottom clubs who park the bus. Mid table obscurity
Top half also rans. I think it's dangerous changing our style of play when it got us one of our best ever league positions. We don't be flirting with promotion again but our season should be over by March trotting along in mid table.
I know it was only a friendly, and I know it was against Manchester City, but Saturday's match has made me go for bottom half over top. I think we'll have enough to stay up, but I'm dreading watching us try to play it out from the back every single time. I'd prefer to see an evolution of Ismael's style rather than it being replaced wholesale with one that looks a lot like the one that really wasn't working a year ago. Then again, what do I know. Like I say, the one time I've seen us play it so far this season was against some of the best players in Europe!
Somewhere between 10th and 16th. Mowatt is a big loss and we can expect time for our new midfield to acclimatise
I'd happily take anything from 16th and above, if we can then keep the coach and squad together to build into a second season.
