    For the second consecutive season, we visit the CC stadium with a head coach set to make their competitive debut with us.

    Valerien Ismael's side were disjointed and completely dismantled by a well organised Cardiff side. In the reverse fixture, we played them off the park in the first half, and crumbled in the 2nd.

    Our last victory in Cardiff came courtesy of a 95th minute Ryan Williams goal. We've lost half of our last 8 visits to Cardiff, including the last 3 in a row, which suggests our form there is due to change.

    Cardiff have lost their last 3 season openers, conceding at least 2 goals on each occasion (vs Wednesday, Wigan and Bournemouth). They appear to have the majority of their squad fit, despite Covid in the camp at the start of the week. Kieffer Moore has been confirmed as fit despite testing positive last week.

    I don't do negative, so I'm predicting a 0-1 away win with Carlton Morris getting the winner mid way through the 2nd half.

    Big Val had already won twice before he played Cardiff

    But it's a toughy and as people have said we seem to be poor away on opening day so 2-1 Cardiff, Moore's bound to score

    2-1 Cardiff. Going into the season hopeful but it will take time to all gel together.

    Plus Cardiff will be top 6 with a degree of comfort in my opinion.

    3-1 Cardiff im expecting it to take time for players to settle in and implement the new style. Plus MM sides are alway very direct and hard to beat tough opening game.

    Yeah it was we beat QPR 3-0 and Watford 1-0 the week before, all full of confidence on Sky and got pasted

    Tough ask at the best of times. Don’t think we’re gonna hit the ground running and will probably be half a dozen games or so till we’re settled on a starting 11 and formation. I’m going 3 nowt to the Bluebirds.
