Not a lover of fast food but my son and I have just been to the new burger joint Cow & Cream next to Halfords on Hanborough Hills and WOW it really is lovely, a bit more expensive than the **** from McDonald's but the quality is lightyears better. Freshly made not microwaved and the fries are superb.
It amazes me how many people pull mcdonalds down.I go now and again with grandchildren and find it fine. Those 20 million other outlets around the world must have better chefs.
Personal choice really, I find them bland and soggy, the ads make me laugh, nobody, but nobody gets a burger like the ads. McDonald's have a lot of clout financially and can advertise strongly across the world, but proper burgers are a different matter, Cow & Cream do a proper freshly made burger not microwaved, there is a difference.
Nothing wrong with a McDonalds but likes of Lou and Joe's blow them out of the water for burgers. McD's is more a convenience, quick bite thing in my opinion.
It's **** mate. You and your grand kids are eating *****. I really dont want to preach and you can do what you want, but just Buy a few decent burgers chop a gherkin up and you are king .
Preaching about the quality of food from McDonalds is a daft argument really. Nobody is going with an expectation of premium quality - they’re going because it’s ridiculously quick, cheap, salty, and actually kinda has its own unique taste. A trip to the drive thru after swimming isn’t the same as going to a restaurant is it? Sure, if you’re eating it every day and aren’t looking after yourself then that’s problematic, but calling people out for eating it every so often is silly. I don’t eat much meat and really dislike the taste and texture of beef, but I really enjoy a Cheeseburger from McDonalds - go figure. I’m educated enough to know it’s not that good for me, but it doesn’t stop me enjoying it.
It's not a chain its just a restaurant in Holmfirth. Check them out and then see what you think compared to a Big Mac.
Not keen on Mcdonalds burgers but their sausage & egg Mcmuffin with hash browns does wonders for a hangover.
I'll have a big mac meal probably once a year and quite enjoy it. I also make my own burgers and enjoy them significantly more but I don't take my kitchen to work on nights
