I’m trekking over there tonight. My first away game for nearly 3 years. 21 Aug 18 - 4-0 win at Rochdale. Kieffer Moore (3), Brad Potts scored. What a great evening that was with fantastic fish and chips outside the ground.
My last away trip to Lancashire/Greater Manchester was that game at Spotland, absolutely belting evening at one of my favourite grounds. Fair play everyone going tonight, great following.
Good turnout , but then when you charge a tenner its what you will get. The greedsters need to realise.
Fiver for me, being so ancient . 140 mile round trip at about 70 mpg so the total will be about £17 - bargain!
But the greedsters will argue that half the crowd but twice the price, will equate to the same income but lower costs (Police, stewards, turnstile staff etc)
I use Waze, which looks at traffic at certain times on certain roads. Its advising me to set off at 17:44pm from Cudworth to get there for 7pm, which I think is ambitious to be honest, but it doesn't often do me wrong.
Also more spent in the ground, car parking and also to the local economy of Bolton. Maybe they should charge £50 a ticket and get even less attending.
Just come the opposite way over the M62, it was rammed heading to Manchester just after you get on at the M1. Saw the supporters buses heading up Dodworth rd as well, they'll be stuck in it.
