I strongly disagree with this. To perform how he did in the Championship after just 21 senior appearances in MLS shows that not only is he more than good enough for the championship, but his potential ceiling in terms of ability is very high if he were to receive top level coaching.
I was lucky enough to be at the Swansea play off game the two centre halfs bossed him seemed if he couldn't win the physical battle there wasn't much else to him. I accept that was one game but that the impression I got on I follow too but to be fair I was screaming at the tv against Birmingham don't shoot and we all know what happened next. Talented young but worth multi millions not sure myself.
I think we are both in agreement MT,his potential will be realised with patience, good coaching and time. I don't see a plan being offered or put in place for him yet. As a father of 3,I see him as still young and needing care and consideration to help him through the next few years.
Id be more inclined to criticize the other strikers that couldn't take advantage of Dike occupying both centre backs. I think he's the best striker we've had in a long time.
He came over here as a 20 year old during lockdown and instantly blew all our other strikers clean out of the water, I think he's a tougher cookie than you give him credit for.
For his sake,I hope you are right, football seems a unforgiving place at times. We'll know one way or another. I keep forgetting that there is a World Cup next winter,I wonder if that will an influence on his thinking? Don't know if the USA have a chance of qualifying, he's making the squads but not getting on the pitch much.
Would think if all their current players are available only chance he would have of dislodging them and becoming first choice would be to get into a top league team in Europe and hit the ground running, even then it could be difficult.
He was here for five months, scored 9 goals, won two player of the player of the month awards and got us in the playoffs and people don't rate him. Unbelievable!
Apart frm morris mate who I'd rather have personally. Morris has more to his game. All about opinions.
I love Morris too but I was more meaning the existing strikers at the club, I totally agree that Morris and Dike took us to a new level up front.
The impact DD made when he arrived can’t be denied, but what also can’t be denied is that his impact was hugely diminished when the opposition defenders got the measure of him.
I just hope we av 4yrs wi morris like weve ad wi woodrow,av no idea why woodrow is struggling 4 goals in open play, probably because of all different positions, he showed he wasnt about money wen cardiff wa sniffing,id like woodrow and morris to do brilliant for us and spend all there careers with us, a no wi buy and sell but in this league you get 7m without kicking a ball,i recon as long as woodrow does ok for us he'll end up being kept on by club hes not daft, spent alot of time not playin first team football, all us wats played no are crap it is being a sub never mind about second team..he's been made catain to get best out of him and he'll be paid more, only position we'll need help in is our defence and cauley isn't going to be heard frm there, raskey the ramble ee ee iam micheal jackson dunt know score or ought am off quick.
