I think I’ve mentioned it before, but Mrs Tonjy can perform numerous tasks at the same time.
    She’s a Swiss army wife.

Based on the law of averages and knowing who’s available in my village. I’ve already put some feelers out and the three or four people recommended to me are all female. So that’s essentially my shortlist.

    Nice try though.

Cool, just wondered, thank you very much for clarifying as the way you worded it seemed like you expected all cleaners to be women.

I agree that if you live with the live of your life, that lockdown could be easier. But after a few weeks, you start to notice things that you didn’t before. Because usually you’re not with each other 24/7. Things like that little cough they do, or how often they actually fart. What you have missed is how many marriages are on the rocks because of lockdown.

How posh are people? You say air conditioning… I bet there are more people with cleaners than air conditioning on here. Why would you need air con in Barnsley? It’s only warm 2 days a year, and we’re all in Skeg Vegas when it is!

The other flaw in your logic was that cleaners weren’t allowed to come to the house in lockdown.

Lockdown has not been easy for anyone, but was a necessity.

Can't believe lockdown got shoehorned into this otherwise friendly thread. **** me, talk about trying to stir the pot.

Sorry mate, my maid replied to this thread. I was too busy screaming outside the Co-op about people not wearing their masks and demanding we be locked down again, for a laugh like.

Could also be that the way you read it led to the assumption that I was expecting all cleaners to be women?

    Just another day in paradise.

Same here. And balance it as to who is busier. If she has a high workload, I'll do it, if I have a high work load, she'll do it.

I was being a bit flippant really, but just surprised how quickly it followed a certain path, even if some were potentially in jest.

Yeah we do the same if workloads are higher for one than the other.

All of it. My weekend just gone was spent focused on the kitchen. Tonight after work I’ll finally get round to sorting upstairs.

I think you said you live alone as your other half is in US? (Apologies if i've got that muddled)

So i'd hope you do all of it!!! ;-)

The good thing about her having to shield and now work from home is that I don't get post it notes left by the kettle anymore!

Cut it down altogether. Saving £4k over 10 yrs. and think of the amount of light the house will be flooded with. :)
