I agree Gally, it isn't the club's fault, instead it's the apparent lateness of the communication from the Safety Advisory Group. P*** poor of them leaving it so late imo.
I mean, it is a bit the club’s fault. Late notice or not (and I agree it definitely is), the point is that it wasn’t safe. Everyone’s peed off at the safety advisors but they are what (hopefully) stops a tragic accident happening and everyone would be far more peed off at them if they didn’t advise correctly and something happened. They only point out the safety problems, they don’t create them. We also have no idea when their advice was sought.
I have a wife for all the tricky stuff, although I'm thinking of buying her a multimeter for Xmas, then sending her round to @JamDrop's to learn how to change shock absorbers.
I’m just assuming I can leave the Mount at 2.54 and be in my seat by 3. What could possibly go wrong. Time to buy a chip butty and a programme in there an all.
Back in the late sixties we used to kick off at 3.15 & I always topped up with a half on last orders at 3pm in the Mount & comfortably make it into the ground for kick off , happy days .
I think you are being harsh there mate. Considering the size of our comms team and in the main a smaller budget that most other championship clubs, I think our comms are anything but dire. I think the comms has improved dramatically over the last few years in particular and they are constantly sending messages out on social media. Not sure where the 'dire' bit comes from.
Pre Covid we rarely left before 245. Think those days are gone for the foreseeable though. Probably good for both my wallet and my bladder tbf.
I thought about that. The media / comms team do their best and that is more than good enough. And I get the bit about the legal side, when it comes to matters about ownership. But I just think that despite previous criticism about lack of updates on matters close to the fans heart we are still in the same boat despite Dane briefly raising his head above the parapet before leaving. So yeah, despite the media team and box office keeping us more than happy on team, travel ticket news etc ........... and in a graphicly professional way, I just think it is comms from leadership I am 'having a pop' at, if anything. Ownership, appointments, comings and goings, ground condition ..... am sure there are a dozen more regular fanbase bugbears. Apologies if you thought it was harsh; I will wind my neck in a bit.
No worries mate, now I get it with the extra content provided. It did seem to read at a dig at the comms team but now its clearer to what you meant. Its a funny one, in terms of the Owners and Directors. When Ben Mansford was always on the airwaves, he became BS Ben and some people liked it, then GG turned up and some said hes like a mute and some loved him. They can't really win, some love loads of info from what washing detergent are they using on the kits and some couldnt give two hoots about anything.
Have to agree, think great strides have been made. Maybe more needed, but a great improvement on two years ago. Let's get behind 'em for now.
