What i would say is the only noticeable matchday experience improvement has been predominantly organised by fans (some on here i think) and that wasnt available yesterday. Thats the fanzone. The scoreboard not working has been an ongoing issue for god knows how long. How the club havent managed to fix (let alone upgrade) that while weve been away is a shame.. (obviously unsure of upgrade cost) The fact the seats and stands were generally filthy was the major concern.. considering the covid environment, a clean/disinfect is surely the least to expect. I saw 2 hand sanitiser stations fixed to walls on the way to my seat. The one i tried to use was empty. But didnt actually have a bag inside so hadnt been stocked initially. Personally i think it was poor yesterday. Club might try and always achieve the best.. but in my opinion, yesterday they fell short. Well short.
Personally i think the first impressions for the new young fans will be the fans celebration of the goal and penalty save.
Again, you're suggesting that success on the pitch makes it okay for the matchday infrastructure and planning to be a bag of sh|te. And again, that's just wrong.
The worst thing for me - as a non attender yesterday and sadly it seems for most of the season - is the fact that you can only buy tickets for two stands, which for most games is going to max out the facilities within them. They seem to be doing the opposite of trying to spread fans out, which doesn't work for me as someone still with COVID concerns.
No. Only for 2 games while they sort out the other issues. It was on until Wed last week. Although, if all the traffic has to drive by the fanzone to get to the east car park that's going to impact the safety of the fan zone so who knows.
Hope so didn't even show a ticket at all. I had my ticket ready on my phone but as I got to the front and was about to unlock my screen he just waved me in.
Sorry for being thick but what issues prevented it from operating? I assumed it was the closure of beaver court which they said was going to be for all future games but you seem to suggest it wasn't that?
This was just weird wasn’t it. The turnstile operator looked well pi$$ed off. Still, it meant (very) quick entry to the ground!
I showed my QR code on my app. It wasn't scanned. We were all waived through. Scoreboard IS a total joke. I still loved the experience of being in the ground, the atmosphere and the team's workrate.
