Absolutely no chance of this happening. I'm sure I've seen an interview with Paul Conway basically confirming he won't bring in "veteran players" because there's no added value in the player.
I think it's highly unlikely we will go down this season SD. If we are to struggle at all it's not midfield where we have problems.
We've no creativity and anyone breaking the lines from midfield. Too static in our approach. Our problems won't be solved with the two Belgians.
Conor is one of my all time favourite players. I'd have him back here for a sensible wage (which he'd never accept). That said, having watched him for Ireland in recent years he's certainly not going to be breaking any lines and isn't the player we had. We need something extra to become a side that is challenging in the top ten. I don't think Conor is it though.
If managed affordably/correctly like we seem to do quality players make quality teams. The clubs done brilliant in signing up and coming players on the cheap but a player like Connor would help to fast track Schopps vision.
I still can't see anyone on Twitter having mentioned Hourihane and Barnsley in the same breath. It's all about the possibility of him being used in the Ward-Prowse to Villa deal. Which I think also shows how likely it is he'd come back.
We will lose all our games until Blackpool for me and even that is not a guaranteed win, think people need to get real,we have no attacking threat, midfield is too slow our only saving grace is defence, but every dam is going to leak once in a while if under pressure all the time
There is literally no chance he will come back this season due to wages etc. However I would love him back. Him and Benson/Palmer in the middle with Styles back to LWB would be incredible
I haven't took the piss out of Sheffield Utd yet because we've tricky trip to the capital on Saturday. I reckon we could get are right towelling there.
I don't think wages would be the issue, that would be a similar arrangement to James last season. Problem will be that he wants to play the the Premier League, so will look to join a club already there or looking like challenging at the top of the Championship like he did last season.
Our only hope would be that he wants to come back to a club where he would be loved. He did say on the NTT20 pod that he would love to come back to us one day (could be BS though). The main issue with this is that the owners probably wouldn't sign him as he is 30 with no sell on value etc etc.
12/1 for relegation today,I am so tempted to put 50 quid on to win 600, reckon by Blackpool game could have a 300 pound cash out and hope we stay up, but it seems so disloyal ,my head says do it, I have seen how bad we are, but my heart says no its not right
