Very sad but he is 81. My sister is the same age and has never headed a ball in her life. If Dementia doesn't get you for 12% of men Prostate Cancer will. I'm one of the 12%.
Very sorry to hear this. Although saying that seems pitiful in comparison to what you're going through, it's from the heart. All the best with your future treatment, mate.
Brilliant after dinner speaker as well as a footballer , saw him give a hilarious performance at a Wakefield Hospice charity event which was full of Leeds fans , got a standing ovation .
Sad news for a truly great player. Up there with Jimmy Greaves as one of the best post war forwards from these isles.
He was one of my real heroes when I was a kid. One third of the holy trinity, (the others being Charlton and Best) and the original fox in the box. Blessed to see him a coupe of times, at Oakwell and Hillsboro and his movement and vision even then was a class apart. Best wishes Dennis, I know you won't get better but I hope your passing will be comfortable and with your loved ones.
