    They surely wouldn't have been announced as Barnsley players though if they were not legally allowed to be here. This is what is making it more annoying. Why announce the signings before all this stuff is sorted.

    Dear oh dear
    So basically we have been lied to.
    This is the bit i dont like......dont get me wrong i dont want to know every decision they make but we are stakeholders of the club and asked to part with our hard earned without question to follow our club.
    They need to put this right and Now....we simply cant "get by"with the options we have at the moment. Im afraid the loan market may be our only option here, however this could be very costly (if it isnt already).

    I very much hope that although the process is drawn out the players are granted their working visas. If the worst comes to the worst, I very much hope the agreements/contracts with the selling clubs are dependant on work permits being obtained.

    I can't even imagine the fall out if we were to physically shell out money for players who then couldn't legally play for us.

    If it is red tape that is getting in the way I think our recruitment team have messed up. I see no point in agreeing deals with foreign clubs and players if they’re not ready to go straight away. We’re now several friendlies, one cup tie and three league games down the line and they’re still not “ready”.

    If they’re on the team sheet this Saturday and put in match-winning performances then all is hunky dory again. If we’re still talking about this in September, well …..I don’t know what to say!

    Would make sense as to why they’re not expected to be ready until after international break where they’ll presumably make a 30 second cameo for Belgium to fulfil the criteria.
