We've bought tickets, on the email there are seat numbers but on the tickets we've been sent there aren't seat numbers. Is it generally sit where you like or do you have designated seats? Only asking because someone else wants to come and sit with us.
yeah that would help wouldn't it! The quarter final at the Emirates Riverside. No one's answering the phone!
I once went to the Oval to see England play South Africa. We had seat numbers but once everyone was aled up it didn't matter who sat where.
I was tempted but it’s a fair way to travel when there is a risk of rain. No problem popping down to Headingley - 13 miles, but Chester-Le-Street is a lot further.
Me neither. It was a Test match but the atmosphere was great as England were trying to force a result. You like Cricket so you'll love it.
I've been to country matches and the last days of test matches but that was a while ago and I've never been to limited overs I don't think.
I can only share my experience of the Oval and Edgbaston. Each ground was geared up to sit in the seat you were allocated on your ticket/ booking confirmation.
I'd just take your booking confirmation as well if thats where the seat reference is, then if questioned by stewards, you can show them that. I suspect its a printing issue on the tickets and it's just been omitted. Or, the ground isn't expected to get anywhere near capacity, but if thats the case you can roam and find a seat, but i'd be less sure that was the case. When I went to T20s at the Oval in the earlier days, the ground was nowhere near full, but you were still allocated a seat on the ticket. My wifes dad is a member and doesn't have to buy a ticket. So back then we'd meet him in the ground and instead of him sitting in the pavilion, he'd sit with us in an area where there were multiple seats together.
Hi Helen. It is general admission so you can sit in any seats that are open. Doubt all sections will be available but we usually sit in the north west terrace in front of banatynes health club then you get a nice view of the castle. Not far to walk into Chester le Street if you fancy it. My favourite ground to visit go for international every year but the pingdemic stopped me this year. We go up Monday back Wednesday looking forward to it.
Like Chop said it’s a lovely ground and place. The view of the castle is fantastic so make sure you’re on that side of the ground.
