Should have been 0-3 and coasting. Instead a **** ball from Cauley and the next passage of play QPR are down the other end and scoring to make it 1-2. 2 points dropped today, very poor 2nd half.
Gutting but a good away point. Played some lovely stuff at times and moved it much quicker in the final third. Lack of options on the bench and lack of experience are clearly evident.
This post scared me to death. Because of the delay, they still hadn't taken their corner. After reading your post I thought he'd scored an own-goal or given away a pen or summat
We all love a bit of shithousery but I think that forced us in to having the five CBs playing. I can understand Schopp being nervous about going down to ten men when QPR were in the ascendancy. Not sure what’s happened to the understanding between Sibbick and Brittain but it just isn’t there this season yet. Though despite the poor defending and goalkeeping you’ve got to take your chances and the ball to Frieser was absolutely criminal. You get punished at this level when you’re not clinical and it should have been 3-0 before it was 2-1. Overall though very promising but our squad showed that it can’t cope with ‘injuries’ to five first team players. We don’t lose that game with Kane, Belgians x 2, Morris and Jordan Williams available.
before kick off and during the week many on here did not think we would anything from this game. QPR have often been a bogey team for us. Yes it's a dissapointment to let go a 2 - 0 lead, but hey we did not lose. This side will get better over the season, no need to panic or get down in the mouth. We have the makings of a very decent team. We have players yet to come in, so the future does look brighter.
Think it shows overall we defo need to bring in another CM. This league is too good to expect two players to play out of position. Sometimes get away with 1 but certainly not two. Game went downhill when our midfield went missing. Not criticising Moon and Halme they just did what they were told. Get that fax switched back on and get cover in.
We looked ferked fitness wise last 20 mins.. Should have won it. Could have lost. So take the point.. Still enjoyed the game..
The defending for their first goal was absolutely appalling' the game was very reminiscent of our game away at Bournemouth' Bournemouth came out 2nd half went into cruise mode maybe even cocky and took their eye off the prize' fortunately we got away with a point today' very disappointing..
They changed the game with the adhomah sub and formation we didn't deal with it and failed to take our chances
Would have been happy with a point if it had been offered at the start but the manner of our capitulation after such a good first half is massively disappointing. Got to agree abou Devante Cole. He offers nothing to the way we play with his inability to put a run in and close down. He wouldn't have got a sniff of a shirt last season under VI. He wouldn't stand for that lack of work rate.
That was an eye opener. We squandered 3 simple attacks 2 on 1 and didn't even get a shot on target. Encouraged the opposition. We looked unfit and lacking in experience that last 25 minutes. While its easy to say most would have taken a point at the start, having seen HOW we ****ed that up in our defending and attacking makes me bitterly disappointed.
QPR supporters celebrating like it was a big win, they've got away with one there in my opinion. I can really see us giving some team a real tonkin this season, some of our football is superb.
Plenty of positives and we still would have won if the flag had gone up (as it should have, VAR would have disallowed it) for the first QPR goal.
Great first half performance but ran out of steam and midfield options. Why are we having to play centre halves in there? Wasted too many opportunities to put game out of reach and Woodrow was the main culprit.
