Never seen it before but it's on because I haven't changed channel from earlier. The batting is good but the fielding looks like it's their first time playing the game

I assume they all play for counties like the men. There's some England players playing.

I'm actually pretty surprised at that, it looks like the kind of fielding we had in PE at school when nobody knew how to play

I think there is one player in the men’s game who actually is a teacher. Got plucked out of nowhere, got wickets and now has a contract for Barbados in the Caribbean Premier League

122 is a good score but beatable this could easily be down to the last ball.

The fielding has been bad throughout the tournament in ladies matches but it will get better. Earlier the Invincibes got a extra run because the keeper couldn't catch the throw.

Dare I say it as a cricket lover? I think It's just a really poor standard but nobody dare say so. Good luck to them and I hope they make a wage.

It's almost like the ECB and Counties throw all their funding and scholarships to white public schoolboys while every other creed, colour, gender and class is left continually playing catch up.

They might well earn a decent prize for winning but the women's wages are absolutely farcical when compared to the men.

Agreed. If you want a world class cricket tournament then pay the wages and soon enough you'll get the players.

That said, the hundred is definitely a step in the right direction for women's cricket, and having watched a lot of the tournament the standard has actually been pretty high.

Look at the women golfers and footballers, they are, and look like professional sports people. Let's hope the cricketers take note.

Perhaps the difference between those sports is in the institutes, not the players.

I,ve quite enjoyed the Women’s games I’ve seen. Not that many as they have been afternoons when I am at work. Shame the final was over after 10 balls of the second innings

They will mostly be professionals but they’re right at the bottom end of professional when you consider wages, experience, training etc. Girls cricket is miles behind boys through all age groups into the professional mens game. Also remember that a lot of these women will never have played in a game as big as today’s so they’ll be very nervous etc. Women’s fielding absolutely needs to improve as it does make the game look amateurish at times but it needs perspective as well. It’s getting there and tournaments with exposure like this will be invaluable.

The women's tournament salary is between £3,600 and 15K. For men its between 24K - 100K for the tournament

Definitely. Girls need more opportunities to play because as t least when I was at school it just wasn't available to girls at all.

I haven't seen any of the mens games in the hundred yet so I didn't know if the mens standard was the same if that makes sense
