This goes to show if we play CW in his rightful role and he gets decent service.......... Out of his 50 goals for BFC 11 have been penalties. From the other 39 , 29 have been first time finishes (74%). So only taken a second or third touch for 10 of his goals. Well I thought it was interesting but admittedly I'm a geek.
His second touch is usually a tackle. Seriously, you are right, he's a great striker of the ball and needs to be able to hit it first time. It's a waste when he drops deep to get involved as we are taking away his best attribute.
I actually think he’s better dropping slightly deeper ….so he can meet the ball and hit it first time. In not suggesting midfield, just dropping slightly off a target man He played his best football with Kieffer - perhaps if / when the big Belgium lad plays he will benefit.
Agreed, it's quite a noticeable stat - no idea how it compares to other strikers. What the truly geeky (guilty) would want to know is what is his conversion rate for first touches compared to multiple touches - for all we know he might have scored more if he'd take a touch more often - perhaps?
Means he’s good at penalties and tap ins the distance shots were flukes Would like to see the stats for shots blocked that were never on. Must be hundreds
